Because you won’t hear about it in the U.S. media, Russia Today (RT) recently ran a story, US Plans To Put State-Sponsored Media Under Full Federal Control, discussing a new provision introduced into the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017. This provision basically puts into place an official propaganda czar appointed by the President. It reads in part:
Head of the Broadcasting Board of Governors shall be A Chief Executive Officer who shall be appointed by the President…Officers and Directors of RFL/RL Inc., Radio Free Asia…or any organization that is established through the consolidation of such entities, or authorized under this Act, shall serve at the pleasure of and may be named by the Chief Executive Officer of the Board.
So the somewhat independent U.S. propaganda networks – Voice of America, Radio Free Europe/Voice of Liberty, TV Martí, et al, – will now be under the watchful eye of a single individual who will have the power to appoint the officers and directors of these entities who will then, in turn, appoint those under them, and so on.
In the RT story two things stand out: First, John Kerry, et al, vociferous hostility to RT’s influence in bringing the Russian viewpoint to Americans. And secondly, but more telling, the comments and opinions of David J. Kramer.
RT’s Alekesy Yaroshevsky notes Kramer’s statement on Voice of America’s Russian edition in which he said, ‘RT America employees working here in the United States are actually trying to make people question their government and make them doubtful of the system and according to him…’:
We must distinguish between true journalists – like those at Voice of America, Radio Liberty, The New York Times, and the Washington Post – and the people working for RT and Sputnik.
That statement would be laughable if it wasn’t so offensively disingenuous. Of course, for Kramer the Zionist controlled New York Times and the Washington Post have ‘true’ journalists – ‘true’ journalists who unashamedly propagate the lies and disinformation of their Zionist masters. And now with VoA and RL coming under control of a, predictably, equally loyal czar they too will no doubt fall into line even more aggressively than they have been up to now.
One would be remiss in not mentioning what this David Kramer is all about.
Kramer’s background includes working as a fellow at the Project for the New American Century (PNAC), a pressure group founded by William Kristol and Robert Kagan that was notorious for its efforts to push the United States into war with Iraq after the 9/11 attacks. He was president of Freedom House from October 2010 to November 2014 – Right Web presents the list of Freedom House board members and other influential members which reads like a veritable who’s who of Neo-Con Jews:
…as of mid-2011, the board included a number of people who have been associated with rightist advocacy endeavors, including Ruth Wedgwood, who has also served on the board of the Geneva-based UN Watch, a group affiliated with the American Jewish Committee; Thomas A. Dine, former director of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee and adviser to the Committee for the Liberation of Iraq; Max Kampelman, a retired diplomat who has worked with several neoconservative groups, including the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs and the Foundation for Defense of Democracies; Kenneth Adelman, a former arms control diplomat who has supported the work of groups like the Project for the New American Century and the Committee on the Present Danger; Paula J. Dobriansky, the Bush administration’s under secretary of state for democracy who has work for the Hudson Institute, the Independent Women’s Forum, among other rightwing groups; Joshua Muravchik, a prominent neoconservative writer formerly based at the American Enterprise Institute; and Mark Palmer, a retired diplomat, member of the Committee on the Present Danger, and vice president of the Council for a Community of Democracies.
Kramer is currently the Senior Director for Human Rights and Human Freedoms at the International Republican Institute (IRI) – otherwise known as the ‘McCain Institute’. This group is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that serves as a vehicle for the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) and the U.S. Agency for International Development. NED, and its affiliates have had a very shady past in using any means necessary to promote the globalist agenda in the Third World developing countries and more recently in the Middle East in the guise of anti-terrorist and anti-authoritarian government advocates. The use of black propaganda, financing and inciting anti-government ‘popular movements’, as well as other subversive group types, are all part of the program with the NED affiliates. Their agenda in the Middle East in particular is always in the interest of the Zionist rogue state of Israel.
Of course the Zionist controlled government of the U.S. doesn’t want the people to ‘question [that] government’, nor do they want the people to ‘question the system’ that allows elements of a foreign state to determine the policies of the nation. External media sources like RT offer viewpoints not allowed in the U.S. controlled media – and that is dangerous to those who have had an easy time of manipulating the public until now.
The danger in introducing this governmental media czar is that this position may be furthered to include official oversight of media in general in the United States – empowering this individual to determine what is and what is not acceptable political conversation en total. The government of the U.S. is moving dangerously closer to an all-out process of censorship – those who value freedom of speech as the essential core to every other freedom should be very alarmed at this development.
